GREEN MEMBERS IN THE ORDER
Local councillors are the ‘district parliaments’ of our city and form the active link between the inhabitants of a district and the town hall. They represent the interests of the local people, advise the municipal bodies and bring topics from the district into local politics.
In the 2021 local elections, we were able to win GREEN seats for 17 of the 26 local councillors in Wiesbaden. In addition, in Amöneburg, Kastel and Kostheim, GREEN members have moved into the respective local advisory councils via the list of AUF-AKK (Arbeitskreis Umwelt und Frieden). Accordingly, we have been represented in all local councils since the local elections, except in Erbenheim, Frauenstein, Heßloch, Kloppenheim, Medenbach and Nordenstadt. In Breckenheim we were only represented by Christiana Hinninger until October 2022. When she was elected mayor of Wiesbaden, she left the Breckenheim local council.
