Our candidates come from many different districts, are young and experienced, share women and men equally and have different professional and personal backgrounds. The City council<\/b> decides how Wiesbaden develops \u2013 and how well life works here. Their decisions shall determine: how money is used for schools, day care centres, transport, climate protection, housing, culture and social services<\/b>, where to build, how to protect green spaces and how the city adapts to climate change. It lays down rules, controls the administration and sets policy priorities.<\/p>\n

Local councils are the \u2018district parliaments\u2019 of our city. They form this active link between residents of the respective district and the town hall<\/strong>. The topics that directly affect everyday life \u2013 from traffic calming to green areas to childcare \u2013 are discussed here. Local councils take up your concerns and bring them into local politics.<\/strong> They advise municipal bodies such as the magistrate and the city council on all important issues that affect your district. Local councils must be consulted on important matters such as the budget. In addition, they have an Right of proposal<\/strong> and can independently contribute ideas to improve the district. As the voice of the district, they have political weight in local politics. The meetings of the local advisory boards shall be open to the public.<\/strong> and are directed by the head of the place or the head of the place. Here you as a citizen can present your concerns directly and participate in decision-making processes.<\/strong><\/p>\n
